FAQ : PRIVATE PARTIES

 

 

Who: You & all your family / friends!

 

What : A private party of course. 

 

Where: Rent just the Upstairs Music Lounge or rent the entire building!

 

When: We will work with you to find an open date for your party. 

 

Why: You choose the reason to celebrate ~ Milestone Birthdays, Retirement Parties, Class Reunions, Wedding After Parties, Baby Showers, Surprise Birthdays, & more.

You’ll get a private party response letter that asks you about your party needs & well figure out how to help you throw the best party possible!

 

 

“WHAT IS THE PRIVATE PARTY SPACE LIKE?”

 

The upstairs music lounge includes the music hall and the upper tier patio space. You’ll have two private bathrooms, a full bar, and the third story balcony for all your party needs.

 

In this scenario, the street level bar and street level patio space would remain open to the public. A member of our door team would be stationed at the exterior stairwell to welcome your guests.

 

OR 

 

If you choose to rent the entire venue, we would close our business to the public for the day, which would give you access to our street level bar and patio also. Our street level bar is the perfect setting for a cocktail hour, games of pool, or even a juke-box fueled dance off! 

 

 

 “CAN I BRING IN OUTSIDE DECORATIONS FOR MY EVENT?”

 

You can absolutely bring in decorations! Please see then rules & regulations for decorations. 

 

 

“WHAT DOES THE PRICE OF THE EVENT SPACE INCLUDE?”

 

The price of the event space includes : a bartender, a member of the door team to keep your event private, and cleaning services after the party. 

 

“CAN I HAVE A DJ OR LIVE PERFORMER FOR MY EVENT?”

 

Absolutely! If you would like to book a DJ or a live performer for your event, we will charge you a sound engineer fee. This includes use of our PA system, and the engineer who will run it.

 

If you need help booking entertainment for your event, Old Growth Management can help hire, book, and manage all communication with the talent for your event for an additional fee. 

 

“DO YOU ALLOW OUTSIDE CATERING?”

 

Yes! The Waterhole does not have a kitchen on site, so if you’d like food service of any kind you would need to hire an outside caterer.  

 

“HOW CAN I RECEIVE A TOUR OF THE SPACE?”

 

Kiki would be happy to show you around! Please email waterholeADK@gmail.com to set up a time to take a tour. We can also accolade out of town folks with FaceTime tours too. 

 

“HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOUR LOCATION ACCOMMODATE?”

 

Depending on how tables and chairs are set up, this number fluctuates.

 

 

 

“IS THE SITE WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE?”

 

We have a portable ramp that can be used to the upstairs music lounge accessible for wheelchairs. 

 

“WHAT IS THE DEPOSIT AMOUNT REQUIRED TO BOOK AN EVENT?”

 

We ask for a 50% deposit to hold the date. This can be paid in cash or check.

The remaining balance will be due the day of the event. 

 

“WHERE CAN MY GUESTS PARK?”

 

Guests can park in the old Sears Parking lot, which is very close to our location. Alternatively there is overnight parking in the Dorsey Street Lot. Both options are FREE.

 

“CAN WE HAVE SLIDESHOWS, VIDEO PRESENTATIONS, OR PLAY MUSIC FROM A PERSONAL DEVICE?”

 

Playlists made on Spotify can be made and shared with us to play though our house system!

 

Slideshows or video presentations are absolutely doable, but will need to be managed entirely by you, as we do not have the necessary equipment.
